Every good theatre festival needs an army. Here are some examples of helmets and gorgets I helped create for the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s 2015 season
how it starts
It begins with a vaccu-formed hat blank, industrial felt, thermal plastic, leather, contact cement and a helmet to emulate. Below is an image of what it looks like after it is all together, painted, distressed and painted again. Ready for stage lights.
