Costumes are a gateway to understanding why we wear, what we wear and when we wear it.

When you make costumes, you need to know it all. Construction, patterning, draping and how to fix the surprises.

Because of my costuming background, I know how to drape, tailor, and construction techniques. Many times, clothing needed for a stage or film production is not available on-line or in the stores. So you get to make it. It is fun.

Collaboration with Doha Film Institute. I designed and constructed the costumes for the short film, “Our Time Is Running Out”.

The story was set in a dystopian desert world run by children. Projects was filmed in March 2016

Below are costumes created for the Arizona Opera. While working for the opera I had many opportunities to dye, create patterns and learn about costume history.

The productions featured in the photos below are from Madama Butterfly and Aïda from the 2012 season for the Arizona Opera.
